You know this school is in Erlanger. Why do they even call it Turkey Foot. Hahahaha. Silly me. Because they built the school of turkeys' feet. Hea, Hea, Hea!

Since Pre-K, and up until the 8th grade at TF, our son was continuously educated under an IEP. We were very involved in developing his IEP, and would frequently seek updates. The more we did this, the more it seemed as if the special education staff were not fulfilling their duties. It seemed they were forgetting to "check in" with him, document, and forget to give him "rewards" for completing his goals. One of the 8th grade special ed. intervention specialists (we'll call him Mr. G) did not seem pleased with us asking so many questions, or challenging his knowledge of how to properly help our child. Things between us seemingly became tense. It felt as if Mr. G began to schedule meetings just prior to meeting and documentation deadlines as an attempt to be vengeful. He scheduled a meeting to review reevaluation results for our son. For the first time in 8 years, we asked to reschedule. After a discussion, and agreement with Mr. G, it was decided that the officials would hold a meeting, as not to miss the deadline, and we would have an additional meeting the following week to review the results together, and make a final decision. Mr. G agreed to this. The next day our son came home and told us that Mr. G encouraged him to attend the meeting since he was "legally" old enough. Our 13 year old son agreed to attend. Without his parents in the room, several “professional” adults, including a woman who claimed to be the school attorney (later found out that she was not), told our son that he would no longer receive IEP services. They asked for our son's signature in agreement, and sent him off. We sought attorney advice, but were told that there wasn't much we could do. However, 2 years later, we found out (from another attorney) that the attorney we had originally consulted, was friends with some of the ARC team members at TF, and we were misguided. We were made aware that we could have filed a complaint, and a lawsuit. However, because our son was now attending another school, in a new district, with a newly developed IEP, we chose to let it go. The new school, and our new found attorney, was very perplexed at the lack of professionalism displayed by the TF staff and KC School District. We feel that Mr. G, and the TF/KCSD education administration committed an immoral and deceitful act in this case. Glad the new school was able to recognize the needs of our son.

This school is the reason im suicidal. The teachers don't care and drown you with homework to "prepare " you for highschool when in all actuality highschool gives you less homework. This one teacher in the 8th grade lets call her "Mrs.S" is the worst most power abusive teacher I've ever had and should honestly be removed from her teaching position.
